Designed by Andrew Merydith, the Nike Womens Air VaporMax becomes part of this year’s Nike 2017 Doernbecher Collection. Like Andrew, the ultra-lightweight VaporMax is also built for speed.It features vibrant shades of Green and Purple that coordinate perfectly with his favorite BMX jersey. Andrew used his initials to create a cool logo, and came up with his own hashtag for the outsole.

“My family is my hero,” he explains. “They’ve been so supportive and caring throughout this whole thing.” According to Doernbecher social worker Emily Somervell, Andrew shares his family’s caring, compassionate traits. “For Andrew, helping others brings him the most happiness,” she said. “That’s why he’s looking forward to becoming a scientist who helps treat and hopefully cure cystic fibrosis.” After participating in the Freestyle program, Andrew says he has another career aspiration: designing shoes.

For Spring and Summer, Jordan Brand will introduce another pair of the Mens Air Jordan 6. For those that have been following this model, you probably already notice the close resemblance to a past release from the brand.

Looking closer, you will notice that Black is used on the overlays with tumbled leather. On the panels and toe box is Grey Nubuck. The two shades are also present through the midsole and heel tab. Following is a hint of White used on the Jumpman placed on the tongue. Last but not least is a translucent outsole which finishes the look.
