The update contains references to new items and hairstyles but adds up to 30 new bosses. As many as 16 new/NPC or enemy characters known as “Someone Yet Unseen” are also spotted through the committed data miner.

Elden Dreams

As first reported by Eurogamer, data miner Lance McDonald has learned that Elden Ring once contained items and quests that involved going through the dreams of certain NPCs. While the content was cut in the main game, it may be saved for DLC.

In the cut content, an NPC called Monk Jiko asks the Tarnished to create something called Dream Mist. To get it, the ball player needs to invade the NPC’s dreams. This offers plenty of creative possibilities and can allow players to battle literal nightmares, along with all other horrors that lurk within the Lands Between.

Extended endings

The DLC of Bandai Namco’s last two games with FromSoftware, Dark Souls, DS 2, and 3, featured DLC that extended the ending from the base game. However, it accomplished it without contradicting or changing any ending the ball player had already unlocked.

The Three Crowns DLC in Dark Souls 2 allowed the ball player to complete one more quest, once all 3 DLC packs have been completed, which unlocked a brand new ending. This one essentially gave the ball player a third option, along with linking or rejecting the fireplace.

Those who completed both Dark Souls 3 DLC packs were treated to some complimentary ending, the one that sat alongside every other ending the ball player had unlocked by playing the bottom game.

Elden Ring DLC bosses

Elden Ring won the Game of the Year in the GOTY Awards. In his acceptance speech, Miyazaki asserted “As for Elden Ring, we now have several more things you want to do.”

This means there’s likely more DLC en route after the Colosseum update and will probably be a far more substantial and story-driven expansion – such as the ones for Dark Souls.

Miyazaki’s comments also imply there could be several upcoming DLC for cheap elden ring items. Twitter user SekiroDubi, who accurately predicted the Colosseum DLC has additionally referenced something called m20, suggesting that this will probably be the 2nd – and first proper expansion to Elden Ring that's currently in development.
